Wrap up energy savings this holiday season
Remember to look for the ENERGY STAR® label when shopping for presents. A wide range of electronics and appliances are ENERGY STAR certified, offering energy savings year-round. Check out just a few of the options available to you.
The latest ENERGY STAR qualified TVs are 25% more energy efficient and include the latest technology, such as 3-D viewing and streaming capabilities.
When choosing audio equipment, keep in mind that ENERGY STAR qualified sound devices can be up to 60% more energy efficient than conventional models.
If you're in the market for a Blu-ray player, make sure it has the ENERGY STAR label on it. This indicates that it's 45% more energy efficient on average than those without the stamp of approval.
ENERGY STAR certified computers use anywhere between 30% and 60% less energy than those that are noncertified. And by enabling the computer's power management feature, you could save even more.
